Waxing (Depilatory treatment)
All of the basic waxing treatments along with a selection specialist waxing treatments are available at the salon.
Prior to the treatment - the therapist will cleanse the area using a specially formulated pre-cleansing lotion. The therapist will then apply a high quality cream warm wax and remove the unwanted hair. You should ensure that the hair to be waxed is a minimum of around 0.75cm - 1cm so that the wax will take to the hair effectively. This is normally around 2 weeks post-shaving growth for most ladies or 4-6 weeks post waxing.
Once the waxing has been completed, a soothing tea tree lotion is applied to soothe and help the skin recover from the waxing treatment.

Electrolysis
Each individual hair is treated by inserting a tiny surgical probe into the hair follicle, with this in place, a tiny impulse of energy is transmitted down the hair root. The hair is then taken out, but not pulled. This is repeated over the entire area until it is cleared of unwanted hair.
For electrolysis to have a long term effect on hair growth, you will need to take a series of treatments. It works by weakening the hair over time so eventually it stops growing. Every person is different in the time it actually takes for the hair to stop growing, it depends on other factors such as whether you have tampered with the hair or not. Our therapist will be happy to advise you on this treatment when you come in.

Prices
Electrolysis - short wave diathermy/blend method. Electrolysis is the only medically approved method of permanent hair removal.
This involves the insertion of a very fine probe (the same diameter as the hair) into the hair follicle. Heat and galvanic current is then passed down the probe to seal off the blood supply to the hair root. The hair can then be easily removed from the follicle. Most hair will need more than one treatment.
