Threading (Eastern Technique of Removing Facial Hair)

Threading is an ancient art of hair removal still used in many countries. It’s becoming more popular in the West for removal of hair at the root, primarily on the face. The technique results in clean lines and in the case of eyebrows, an excellent shape. This is the most effective method of hair removal on the face for everyone, especially, people with sensitive skin. Unlike waxing, threading does not cause breakouts, redness and pigmentation. We highly recommend threading for facial skin since it is too thin for waxing and can lead to wrinkles. Threading is for both women and men with excess hair. If threading is done consistently, the hair follicle is weakened and becomes less dense so there is less or no growth. We recommend threading every 2-3 weeks.

What is "Threading?" An ancient method of hair removal with origins in Arabia and South Asia. It is very delicate procedure, making it suitable for even the most sensitive skin. The art of threading may be seen in the gentle and precise twisting of a length of cotton thread which is twisted along the hairs which are to be removed. The twisting action of the thread traps the hair and lifts it out of the follicle. Threading is more effective and less painful than tweezing; hair re-growth becomes finer and more sparse after regular treatments; and the top layers of skin are not peeled or traumatized in the process. Threading is highly recommended and an excellent option for those who use Retin-A, Accutane, and similar products.

Eyelash tinting will enhance the general appearance of your eyes and is particularly beneficial for people who participate in sporting activities, especially swimming. Unlike mascara the effect is very natural - so no more panda eyes!

What happens during the treatment: This is a straight forward, quick and painless procedure using vegetable dye to tint your lashes. A range of colours for you to choose from to enhance your lashes. Your therapist will advise on which colour to use for best results. Please note that we are unable to make your eye lashes lighter than the natural colour.

Important: A patch test is required at least 24 hours prior to tinting to ensure no sensitivity to the product exists.
